WHERE: MUSSETTER-STRUBLE THEATER (NORRIS)

Think of your favorite theater productions-is it Hamilton? Dear Evan Hansen? Now shorten it. Shorter. Try telling a story in 10 minutes. That’s exactly what Vertigo’s 10 Minute Play Festival is going to do. The group is performing seven different original plays in 90 minutes, with titles such as “Semelparity" and “Happy Birthday Mars Rover 1 2 3”. The student group. dedicated to providing opportunities for playwrights on campus, has received high praise in the past, including press from The Onion for their 2011 production One Man Lord of the Rings.

CHICAGO:

Quinn XCII

WHEN: FRIDAY 6:00 P.M.

WHERE: CONCORD MUSIC HALL

You won’t want to miss this up-and-coming artist. With a vocal quality and trendy style comparable to blackbear and gnash, Quinn XCII has been building an impressive yet underrated body of work for the past few years, leading up to the tour for his 2017 album The Story of Us (which is still dropping deluxe tracks into 2018).

G-Easy

WHEN: FRIDAY 7:00 P.M.

WHERE: ARAGON BALLROOM

Standing at 6’4”, confidently dressed in black from head to toe, G-Easy is definitely a vibe. The rapper is on his “The Beautiful & Damned” tour, named for his 2017 album featuring Billboard Top 100 hits “Him & I” featuring Halsey (the two are dating) and “No Limit” featuring A$AP Rocky and Cardi B. Who knows- maybe Halsey will even be in the crowd to support.

Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled

WHEN: FRIDAY 7:30 P.M.

WHERE: ALLSTATE ARENA

After turning out an endless stream of hits, Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled finally connected for a single for the movie “A Wrinkle in Time” called “I Believe”. To top it off, the this dynamic duo is on a  full-fledged tour together! Lovato may be the beauty, but they are both beasts on stage.

(Also, shoutout to Lovato for her recent, fearless collaboration with Vogue).

Pink

WHEN: FRIDAY 7:00 P.M.

WHERE: UNITED CENTER

After performing at the Super Bowl LII and the Grammys in 2018 so far, pop music mogul Pink is bringing her talents to one of the biggest venues Chicago has to offer.
